I would have to think long and hard before I voted BNP, although I think he has some valid points, their roots as a racist group and their true motives concern me.

I have to say the BBC really screwed up on this from start to finish, if it wasnt obvious enough they were trying to put Nick Griffin under pressure and try to embarras him.

As egg said the audience was students & ethnic minorities, no middle class or anyone that lives in the real world of by that I mean what people actually care about, people being frustrated at their own cultural identity being eroded, the idea of putting the union jack up being insulting etc.  Its disilusioning and its no wonder why people get frustrated with your run of the mill political parties.

The idea of cultural contribution is appealing, the idea of cultural contribution at the expense of eroding individual identity and values, thats another matter.

to be fair, the presenter bloke (whos name I cant remember) stepped in for him a few times when he was outnumbered etc...

I can understand why some people might vote bnp - because there frustrated with the way the country is run, and dont see much of a difference between the other parties... etc....  

but I think its more to do with the modern blame culture, no-one takes responsibility for there actions anymore...
country is in recession - lets blame it all on the banks
high unemployment - lets blame that on the immigrants
long queue at A+E - lets blame it on the immigrants again
drugs/crime etc.. - lets blame it on black people
tripped over own feet - lets blame it on the council footpath and stick a claim in

etc. etc. etc.

tbh, people forget we have it pretty good here to start with, unemployment/disability etc.. is pretty low compared to most places, even at its worst the NHS is pretty good - roads etc.. are well looked after

I think the thing that really pisses most good, honest, hard working people off is all the low life scum (core bnp supporters) who leech on the system and dont contribute anything to the mix...
