I took my Pioneer HU out at the weekend and managed to retrieve the main cable block, however I cant work out how to get inside the centre console enough to unplug the aerial lead and my iPod connector lead which is trailed around the back/side through to the dashboard (see pics)

Any advice on what to do here? I cant find a guide to taking the console apart on an Audi A4 B5 model anywhere.

Well I had attempt #2 today, got so far in then realised I needed 8/10mm socket drivers and torx screwdrivers, so Im going to the local VAG specialist on Saturday (need him to fix my bonnet anyway since that no longer will open  :disappointed: )

This is the reason Ive yet to get round to getting some xcarlink type affair for my mazda. Its all very well knowing that my radio has a port on the back that should be usable for ipod stuff, its another actually getting to it and getting the wiring routed to somewhere decent without causing some form of damage :(

People laughed when I said I paid to have it all connected up, but again I can see what a hassle and ballache it is without the right tools to get the job done. I spent an hour earlier and didnt get past the second set of plates. The bloke that fitted it only took 20 mins and youd never have known hed been at it.

Another instance where Im happy to pay someone a tenner to get the job done and done right!
