@ neXus : Sorry if my comment caused offence or anything, was just a thought i was having, dont want things getting too formal is all..

Im sure we all appreciate the work thats gone in

That is ok dude, It is me just throwing ideas around because one of things people have mentioned is the gap deviation which you can not avoid because of peoples signatures. The only way you can effectively solve this is with a fixed dimension for the signature area.

One of the things I would still like to improve is the signature area and would be great to come up with a format for when you do have something there.

Thoughts?

About the only thing I think that needs doing is some kind of line/divider across to signify the end of a post and the start of the sig. Some people with just text sigs make it look like they hit enter a dozen times and continued typing. Other than that I think it should be left to our own common sense in terms of not having loads of flashing images that take up half your screen :D

And kudo's on all the hard work, compared to the default skin we had before (and the skin we had on "tekforum") this is awesome!
I changed the layout based on feedback so, yeah your right. I been looking at a few bits to sort it.

Goblin, I have been busy with other things this weekend. I have a things to fix. To get the layout updated as it is now and not change other elements of the forum I had to add classes to crap loads of code in a load of files for example.

I got the drop down, the names, private message layout, icons, buttons all on list to fix and I will get important ones done in the week for folk. I noticed the hover over yesterday :/ its annoying I know, will do it Monday Night (My time)

Don't think for a minute I'm nitpicking here, just noting things that aren't quite right to add to the "oh bugger" list, as I usually refer to the things that come in after a site is finished.

I think i speak for everyone when I say we really appreciate how much hard work you've put into this and we in no way wish to come across as whiney. Some of the old timers who have been here for over a decade clearly have strong opinions on "our" forum ;)

I know, just saying that I know, and made notes already and pitched why I not done them yet.

If the bubbles don't work in any other colour, then I like this better. It is a great shame though as I liked the idea of the bubbles a lot.

I like the tweaked "new posts" thingamy on the front page, still subtle but more obvious with the reversed bubbles as well as darker quotes.

All in all, really good work Nexus.

edit: I don't know if this is the theme, the new software or what, but every post which has been edited is now coming up with scroll bars on my work machine (haven't tried it from home yet). I'm not actually losing any of the post off the screen, it's just creating really short scroll bars for no particularly apparent reason. No big deal really, just pointing it out.

Just rolled out the next set of fixes and tweaks. More buttons and images will be updated in the near future. Working on my logo designs now.

Just to add I know the reply list is a bit messed up and will work to correct this soon.

I haven't been online for a while, so this is the first time I've seen the new theme and I have to say I think it is fabulous. I especially like the way each post in a thread is separated into its own box.

Now the orange-yellow text which tell the the qoute in the lighter grey, sitting in the darker grey is hard to read for me (unless I highlight), in this case "Quote from: Sam on Today at 18:24:12" is hard to read.

It has its style for the area so when it sits in the quote with class I can target it and I will add a different style for it.
I will add it to my list.

I also know the pm Layout is pretty messed up at the moment. Site is useable so spare time I want to wip up some logos next :)
