If you don't mind using cord I bet you won't hear the difference between the denver @£55 and the sony as the chips often are the same in cheaper brands and made in the same factory. I paid £49 for mine in sweden after I tried it out as my friend just bought one for his bmw which had a good CD player with a crappy radio so he bought the denver which sounded better than the original, I had toyotas CD with radio good CD sound but crappy radio so I also bought
a denver and music from SD sounds better than the CD did before ! so for that price I found it to be a really good buy.

seems ok, if you check youtube videos out on it in terms of the menu, no USB outside though.

I think what I have noted is there is some solutions out there but not quite there

The point is if you want all singing and all dancing and you want a big brand your going to have to spend more than $200. For the $200 budget your going to be stuck with either that Boss junk (with the dock) or front Aux/USB decent brand player.

I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

I think that's basically the same model I had in my Audi Pete, I replaced it with a Pioneer in the BMW but it just doesn't feel as nice to use. Pioneer use really stupid buttons and placement on their HUs for some reason.

Beyond a certain price point I also think no one will ever tell the difference between brands in terms of audio quality as they all use pretty much the same quality of DACs, etc, so unless you have invested thousands in your speakers and in-car acoustics to overcome noise and resonance you really will not know.

Sony HU's are generally tinnier compared to Kenwood/Pioneer counterparts imo.

Maybe don't turn up bass/treble/set 'pop' EQ tbh imo? :P

I never use any pre-sets, its always better to manually configure the EQ :P

I've had quite a few Sony's and they have all been the same.

If you have a proper setup, you just set it to flat.

Let the music come through how it wants.

Graphic Equalizers - making music sound worse through rubbish sound systems since the 80s! :w00t:

Buy a sub instead of BluRays  ;D

soopahfly

My setup is probably worth about £300.

I've got an Alpine headunit
Stock Toyota door speakers
Magnat 600w Amp
Vibe 10" subwoofer.

I don't need to fiddle with EQ's :D
And it's not boy racer loud.

Pete

The sony ain't too bad. tbh I think the usb malarky is a bit naff because it ain't a patch on a CD but other than that it's a huge improvement on the stock hu.

Need to do the front speakers next, they buzz like they're gonna go pop.
