They are doing a fair bit of filming at pinewood for the set stuff because a number of cast are English and he is also doing work for the Dambusters movie which is mostly being done in England as well so it made sense to bring a lot of Weta there.

A lot of their extra's stuff is in the latter part of filming and over here.

Bit annoying if you want to be in the movie, they treat you like a set peace really.
You will get 2 weeks notice tops and got to be in Wellington and then as an orc you could be 2-5 hours of makeup and then all you could be doing is standing their making noises and pulling faces and one run forward. Bit Like Helms Deep.
Enough for me though that.
Any fighting orc's are stunt guys or trained army guys and no average Joe.

But you would be in the hobbit so very cool!

Although pretty boy dorf on the far right (Kili?) looks a bit out of place.

I can understand why they have to camp them up and make them so obscenely over the top though, including making one of them apparently be in a Middle Earth boy band. With so many Dwarves on screen at once I imagine it's going to be hard for the audience to tell what's going on and who is who if they didn't.
