It seems that Game is using its buying power to force yet another company to not allow Steam to have a game on its Downloadable Service, this time around THQ.

This wouldn't be so sickening if it weren't for the fact that my local Game/Gamestation has a combined stock of about 12 PC Games! (And thats on a good day).

Its all well a good they don't want Steam to monopolise on the market, but if your going to play silly games you need to think about your current strategy and stock more PC games.

As always its the consumers that are going to lose out, i really can't be assed either driving into town and paying parking or ordering from a website and waiting 2-3 days for delivery when i have the option to download the game and play it the same night.

Your thoughts?

I thought buying games from shops died a long time ago? They are all a rip off.

Thats what Game probably don't realise, they charge full price for a game, if they stock it, and no one buys it and its all steams fault.  Now they try this sort of tactic to try and force people to buy full price games from them, but in fact no one will so I wonder who Game will blame next.

Can't remember the last time I bought a game from a high street shop, and even then it was probably from CEX.

A lot of Game stores don't carry any PC stock and some of them carry very limited stock, this is why it makes no sense to me, i think it must be online sales that are effected, its a good way to alienate potential customers.
