QuoteWorrall Thompson, who is best known for his appearances in 'Ready Steady Cook' and 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here' in 2003, was caught red-handed on a hidden camera stealing the items from a Tesco store in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire.

A camera was set up amid concerns that the famed chef had been stealing from the store five times over a 16-day period.

Sounds like either times really are too hard or he's a kleptomaniac. In either case, I just feel sorry for him.

"It is reported that the 60-year-old, of High Wycombe, was cautioned for shop-lifting goods like cheese and bottles of wine from the self-service checkouts by failing to scan the barcodes and then leaving the store with the goods"

it would have been better if he was sticking the stuff up his jumper ;)

and tbh.... he should have just pretended he was drunk ;)

I wonder if tescos screwed him over on a deal etc.. and it was his way of getting his own back ?

doesn't seam like the type to steal to me :o

He stole cheese and wine... and that was just for starters.

In defence of Antony Worrall Thompson, when I went to appear on Ready Steady Cook he was a gentleman and really made me feel at home. He even comforted me when I couldn't appear because my shopping bag had gone missing in the studio.

The Anthony Worrall Thompson diet, cheese and wine... followed by porridge.

Asked how he feels about stealing a packet of cheese, Antony Worrall Thompson admits it wasn't very mature - but he stole it anyway.

Then again, who believes that Noel Robbins knew nothing?

Quote
Tesco says its chief operating officer, Noel Robbins, did nothing wrong when he sold 50,000 of his own shares in the company a few days before the company announced results that wiped billions of its value of the stock exchange. Business Correspondent Joe Lynam has more details.
