Read this last night on Rock Paper Shotgun, am somewhat happy to say the least!  The original was one of my favourite games and I've played some of the recent clones but none really stack up to the original hopefully this will, can't wait.

I never got to play the original - I was one of those who's radar it somehow skipped under - but I've seen it plenty of times and watched people playing on Youtube, so if the new game is even half as good as the original classic it should be a winning formula.

The entire UFO/Xcom pack is £3.05 on steam at the mo, worth a punt just to have a quick play.  I did buy it ages ago but never played via steam  so no idea what they run like, they'd be perfect to play on a lunch hour at work but I can't get steam to work in here  :'(

Been playing through the UFO games, well, I was till I got skyrim for Xmas. I like Thelma's it's like a tactical rts, but let's me pause to plan my moves. I've never been able to multitask well enough to get into normal rts type games, always preferred turn based or the UFO system...

DEViANCE

I used to have this game when I was young but could never get into it I just kept dying all the time.

After watching a few vids on youtube I might give it a go.

Hands down favourite game of all time. Half Life was close but this baby takes the title. Spent more hours than I care to recall, at silly-oclock in the morning, planning my next move and aiming Blaster Launchers into random buildings to try and find the last little git on a mission! The very definition of EPIC!
Career, Wife, Mortgage... my sig was better when it listed guitars and PC's and stuff!

That was great fun, trying to find the last alien and wandering around a corner to run out of action points whilst staring down the barrel of a gun, much easier just to blast the little feckers into orbit instead :D

Tut tut tut.... thats what the reserved move buttons were for!

I'm getting a bit deflated reading about some of the changes coming to it (mainly, it seems, to cater for console users) which is a sad thing. But who knows, maybe it can live up to the hype and hope of many.

Russell

The console port doesn't suprise me its where the money is these days as long and as long as it means it gets made I'll live with that.  There are a few changes but its probably a bit too early to say if they'll make or break it, just hope its more make and not break, it can't be that hard, can it...
