pc crashed last night.... (I left something installing, it went tits up and ate every byte of free space on my C: drive)


when I restarted.... all my emails have gone from windows live mail..... I went looking for them on the drive and the folders are empty...

so I figgured I'd download a program and see if I can recover them....

found them all straight away.... but wants £40 to recover them for me.... so i googled for a free program to do it....

I've tried 4 and non of them can find a single fire to un-delete

so I'm back to the £40 one.... which I was about to pay... but then I figure it could be a scam (like some virus has hidden the emails away somewhere etc...)

anyone else had a problem like that ?   I've googled but I'm not finding anything :-(
