This actually looks interesting

Musicals are not my cup of tea at all but I thought Hairspray was at least watchable because the music lends itself to that type of performance (it was a remake after all), but this..? I can't get with that.

So could you explain what it's about? 

I certainly don't mind watching musicals, and consider Sister act one of my favourite films, but this doesn't give any indication of what the script is. Unfortunately it does have all the indications of one of those films with a rather poor script patched together as a background for the singing.

I think Sister Act is great, but it's not really a musical. They don't randomly burst into song for every line of dialogue, it's just a film about singing nuns.

It is based on a stage show and that stage show has roots with Bon Jovi.
