Hi all,

I run a group on Facebook called 'Winter Climbs in South Wales' and the spam is driving me nuts. I can't stop it. reporting it as spam does nothing according to the users.

Although I can't see it, the users are complaining of spam messages. I had this a few moths ago and couldn't do anything about it from my personal account. I found that by giving a friend admin rights, he could see and therefore ban the offenders. I just tried it again and it doesn't work at all now.

People are now leaving the group in droves ... Is anyone able to help before I get to zero?

Seems from reading that the only viable solution at present is to convert your group to a Page, which is rather sh*tty, you would think Facebook would be sick of getting reports and would buck up their act preventing the spam.

Yep that's what I did in the end. A bit worrying how insecure facebook is tho!

I recently tried facebook. I found that looking at posts on there can be very confusing.
