So China, which never has placed really anywhere in the swimming have come out and blown people away.
A lot of people are questioning the female gymnasts age as well as physique leading to their events as well.

First up - My girlfriend who I love dearly is Chinese so no racism here ok!.
BUT
We all know China has the backing of the government to do what it can to win from faking birth certificates to brutal human rights breaking training sessions for gymnasts etc in the past. A 16 year old on the Chinese team has already been banned.
So what are they doing now? From what I have read it is very likely they been doping them all up to the eye balls and stop with enough time to have the blood clear and supplement with legal stuff during the time of the events.
OR
Something that is currently not banned but offering similar effects?

Had on the news here that the paralympic Chinese team has a lot of Athletes who did not speak during interview tests they have had before the games so they pass as they appear to not understand the question etc yet have been found dancing and speaking English in night clubs in London.

You got a few east Euro Countries with people suspended or banned already and suspicious east European girls wining swimming etc stunning the favourites.
You also have a confirmed and previously banned Rider winning the cycle event the other day.

Now someone working hard, quite and putting the amazing effort in is of course something that happens, but I think there is already quite a few iffy things going on and what can you do when the Government of the country is the one likely to be pushing for these suspected acts to take place for example?

Hard to say isn't it really, the gruelling training regimes they put them through alone are enough to push their athletes to gold medal winning status (much like South Korea's monopoly of archery wins). I think to have so many people openly starting to descredit the poor girl from the offset though is a little harsh, some people are outright stating doping as the only explanation.

They really should do the 'super Olympics' where anything goes to make the uber athlete... now that I would watch!

Well I do not blame the Chinese Athletes, they are forced into a lot of things I am pretty sure.
You also have them come ago, remember the hurdler girls which were amazing in China? Poof, gone. Some of the runners or that one that stunned everyone in one of the distance runs - did nothing after it.

What ever they do it is a means to keep the China name and churn out golds and be on top and they seem to do all that it takes they can get away with.

I just hate it, it is agaisnt everything sport stands for, I admire what you can push or force the human body to do, but its not right.

Could a part of it be down to the sheer number of their population? I mean it'd be easy for them to pick hundreds of the best young athletes and whittle them down to the best of the best. Other countries with smaller populations would Have to make do with what they have. It'd then be a human rights issue in terms of how intensive that training regime is and what happens to the rejects, do they get any kind of reward?

Eggtastico

probably some sort of meow meow plant food thats undetectable.

Serious

China are up to what a lot of the other countries are up to.

Even if other countries police their Olympic teams vigorously there is still going to be problems with individual athletes thinking they can and should cheat.

The list of banned drugs, either directly aimed at substances that enhance performance in some way or that can be used to cover up or mimic such use is getting to be ridiculously long.

What they need to do is insist on the original Olympic ideal, all athletes are treated equally (no biasing the events for weight or otherwise) and perform naked.

Now that virtually *everyone* would watch!

As posted in another thread:

China trying to throw games to get good draw so they have the best chance to win too.

Just hate to see these things, it is not the essence of the games.
