Went down to titchfield haven on Saturday armed with the eos 7d and 100-400 Lens, went mostly to see a kingfisher as we had heard they were down there, I'd only ever seen a blur before and never taken a photo of one.. as you will see.. I wasn't disappointed.

In an effort to be more.. I don't know.. better I guess, I have tried to avoid uploading tons, narrowed it down to the cream and binned the rest, I took nearly 300 photos on the day and have uploaded only a select few. I plan to purge my flickr account and just upload the best of the lot as its just madness with thousands of photos on there a lot being very similar.

A few I liked most:

The dragonfly is a winner for me, thata a great shot.

I have to agree, I tend to think when I look at peoples photo collections that most of them end up being very similar so you're definitely better off cherry picking the ones you want to put up.

The kingfisher is ace. 300 photos down to 33? It's a start ;) I think I try to get between 5-10% keepers. Though it really depends on the conditions and subjects on the day!

Looks like you had a really good day, the king fishers great never seen one before but know that they're not the easiest thing in the world to photograph, same with the dragonfly, if you don't get them at the right time of day when they're still cold you've had it.

And good idea with purging flickr but I don't envy you that task just seen you've got over 6700 photos on there and I struggle to tag/geotag & group my 200!

Well i have trimmed it a bit  :muttley:

I dont think i'll be reuploading anything I have removed, will just upload new stuff

Aye trimmed just a bit, bet flickr's servers are breathing a sigh if relief after getting rid of that lot!
