Hi,

Thinking about getting a new PC case.

My current case is a Zalman GS1000. one of the bays comes with a card to make 3 drives hot swappable (i bought an additional card to make 6 bays hot swappable, working ok until I tried using SATA 6 connectors on multiple motherboards!  I just get lots of hanging and then event logs saying it has retired x sector on the disc repeatedly!  If i put the disk on normal SATA it works fine no errors etc and yes the drives are all SATA 6 drives.  In the end, I've discovered its the board Zalman sell to make them hotswappable, as if i plug the HD in directly to the SATA 6 no errors at all!

So now i'm thinking time to get a new case, i don't need a full tower any longer as i don't have as many HDs in my PC now as I used to have as I've put my data on a NAS.  So i'm thinking of this case; Zalman MS800 Computer Case and i'm thinking of getting a Icy Dock FlexCage MB974SP-2B Tray-Less 4x3.5" in 3x5.25" SATA HDD Cage.  The case looks ok and has the option if i need to use all the bays at the front fro top to bottom I believe.

My question is - do you think the Icy Dock Flexcage will fit in it or not?  Unfortunately i can't find a list of cases that support/can fit the Flexcage.

Thanks!

Kevin

The Zalman MS800 seems to have 6 x 5.25" and the icy dock fits in 2 slots. So in theory you should have plenty of space, if I've read correctly.
