I haven't bothered with the Beta access so I'll probably be at a disadvantage when it finally comes around, but I have plumped the extra for the lifetime DLC option.

Bacon

I didn't buy into it, so ill wait patiently :P

i cant even remember which i bought into. but given i don't have a windows box right now, im gonna be struggling unless they've built the mac versions already.
must look at this today.

knighty

my little brother has been playing it... and bought an £250 joystick just for this game....

he borrowed my nephew occulus rift, but decided to buy his own now too (just for this game)

must be the most expensive game in existence so far :-o

Clock'd 0Ne

It literally costs hundreds if you bought the alpha/beta subscription, that's crazy money

bytejunkie

depends on your stance.

if you took into account the 400 quid price tag of a c64, the 8 quid for the game, the hundreds and hundreds of hours my dad put into it, were probably still cheaper than going to the pictures.

every time games go up in price, i remind myself that 80 spent on watchdogs and all the extras is the equivalent of 10 cinema trips. and i get far more than 10 nights play out of good games.

Of course there's relativity to it, but taken on it's own its a lot of money - but yes for the level of investment you're likely to put in it holds value.

I spent a lot of money on hifi equipment because there's value to me in it that others might not see.

bytejunkie

me too. unfortunately the wife not only doesn't see the value, se also doesn't see the beauty and its now gathering dust in the office.

it might be time to take a stand.

I doubt anyone can `see` a better hifi :)

Nope, boggo standard only for me  :(

Your thoughts?

Eggtastico

I quite like it.
ive not played online yet - but im enjoying solo.

IF you liked frontier, then you should like this.
Jumping between star systems is a bit odd & takes getting used to, as you jump to the galaxy & then home in on the base from there. Travel to fast & you overshoot it. Travel to close to planet & you drop out of lightspeed & have to do it again.
