Not really, though I've found quite often there is a bit of overlap in the kit used...camouflage, hides, all weather gear....it's all quite useful for wildlife photography.

Also, trail cameras...one of those things that hunters use to check where their prey is...but conservationists also use heh.

I see a lot of overlap in the clothes, but i doubt some people would wear a brand like Deerhunter if they loved animals.  :dunno:

We have some good deals on low end binoculars, it either seems to be low end or very high end stuff we have not a lot of middle ground on binocs and spotting scopes as i was looking for one for my brother.

With optics I find that's usually the case. People are either happy with their high magnification budget binos that let's them see things at a distance, albeit slightly blurry...or they will be happy to pay a fortune for quality optics. The middle ground is neither here or there. You're spending a moderate amount for slightly better quality, but it still won't be crystal clear etc, so why bother? Also, the second hand market usually means you can get high quality stuff at the retail price of the moderate quality stuff.

As to brands like deerhunter... I dunno... If they're top quality and the best, the kinds of people spending that money don't care about the name but the performance... As really they're the kinds of people to be out in the unpopulated areas hunting for the best shot, as opposed to sat in a bird hide on a busy nature reserve at the weekend ;)

I'm personally considering some portable hides, but feel I can make my own for much less money than "proper" ones!
