Went down to Studland, and took a few photies... hadnt used my camera for aaaaageeesss :( May has just been one rainy overcast let-down.. lets hope June brings better.

Was a nice old looking boat there :) Shame I cant hold my camera straight, eh?

The fast... boat thing. impressive diesel clouds it could make :o not eco friendly.....

possibly my best pic, of the day...  do like this one :)

brummie

I do like them and especially the last one, almost framed with the bushes etc.
Its hard to get the exposure right cause of the total amount of sky in the pics.
Think maybe you could try darken them a little or in areas atleast. Just my 2p.

M3ta7h3ad

your severely lacking a polariser there mate :D

Get one :D Ã,£15 if that and your skies and water shots will improve greatly :)

It takes crap light light skies (like in your photos... damn UK typical crap skies! :() and turns them various shades of deeper darker blue. :)

Like the last photo however, as brummie said... its well framed :) but yea... definately need a polarisor there. Either that or fiddle with the curves on the blue channel to make it more darker (move the curve to the lower left)

Serious

A polariser, used carefully, would have really brought some of them out, they all lack a bit of contrast and that could be corrected easily enough in software. Just run through one stop photo fix in PSP

Bit of hand manipulation, just have a close look at the clouds...

Alien8

snellgrove, I know you dont like post prosesing. butbut the 1Ã,° angle correction can make all the difrence. I must admit to haveing usinfg a slight rotation to correct an images .

all good pics I like the farting ship :D

Oh and couldnt resist a slight curve tweek ;)

redneck

 Red

Yeah, I could do with a bit of angle correction you are correct there.

and indeed, filter...  required lol, does look improved there with a bit of the messing about with.

Hmmmm will have to look into the filters I think... good for protecting the lens, too..

Serious

The only filters you might need are a skylight and a polariser. everything else can be done on your compy.

Prefer to do it all with the camera, to be honest :p

its what all those buttons are there for...... just have to use em

No it isnt, you can only do so much with the camera and then its off to the darkroom. Even the *best* photographers arent beyond some post photographic changes. Photo manipulation has been happening almost since cameras were invented.

Every photo that comes out of a bucket shop has been done in order to try and get it presentable.
