mine is Rover 220SDi - 2l Diesel turbo intercooler (50mpg)

Whats that then ??

Serious

Ive got absolutely no idea. Probably about he same as the Jaguar X-type deisel 2 litre though or the next band up if you arent lucky.

DEViANCE

I assume most will be worse off else they wouldnt change it.

your car has emissions of 166 g/km btw brummie.

i would imagine that these new tax rules will only apply to new cars anyway?

rofl i dont know if you realise but your tax will go down :p

currently Ã,£175 per year
new rules: 166g/km = Ã,£150 per year. + Ã,£10 for being diesel.

brummie

LOL i thought this was 6months   :whoops: as thats what i usually do

DEViANCE

these new rules look identicle to the ones that have been in since march 2001, they have just added a band G.

Cypher

Presuming I have got this right Im Ã,£60 better off, my dad is Ã,£20 better off.

DEViANCE

i am pretty sure this is for new cars, or cars registered after march 2001 band A-F and march 2006 for band G so dont get your hopes up :(

Cypher

If thats the case then it doesnt cover me P reg car,  but my dad certainly saves Ã,£20.

Serious

It says nothing AFAIK about it being new cars only, if it was then the road tax system would be incredibly and needlessly complex.

Christopher Monkey

Same - Ã,£100 - band C... i got a 1.5d 106

Binary Shadow

meh they will always be rapeing me on car and fuel tax, but it wont stop me

not really, look at the dvla link i posted that is how it works.
basicly
pre 2001 cars stay the same (2 groups, above 1550cc and below)

after 2001 cars go into this new system
