Binary Shadow

its looking awesome :D

Or alternatively nige could get his act together and sort it out. Itll be his fecking around with the CSS that messed it up.

Im not using firefox purely because im being forced to to browse forums that were fine previously.

And that banner we have. Needs work, whatever happened to blending in something with the background??

Cypher

Oh stop being so picky.

M3ta7h3ad

picky?

I dislike being forced into using an inferior browser (in my opinion) because someone broke something that they cant be arsed to fix.

The logo is actually quite a good one (I like the effect on the forums bit) but it needs to blend in with the forums, not stick out like a sore thumb as it currently does.

Binary Shadow

is it the skin thats killed your "uber" browser then?

brummie

Here ya are ill make it better later ;)

Sweenster

guessing the problem is with ie not supporting the w3c settings for divs and css

meaning things go everywhere, i tried the site in ie and everything seems fine to me

Actually its the poorly coded css that is probably the cause of the crap looking bit of the forums.

And brummies edit is more like it :)

You do love jumping to the wrong conclusions.

How changing hex colour values can be misconstrued as a "lazy arse fecking it up and not bothered about fixing it" is beyond me.

Read again, Ive changed NOTHING other than the colours.

Lol@ Firefox is inferior.

Sure, thats why IE7 is a carbon copy more or less.

Christopher Monkey

ATM IE7 runs like a sack of sh*te!

soopahfly

Yep, but style and feature wise.

cranium

liking the style.  almost thought when i seen it that i would have to re register again lol.

What would you say is the problem then?

Worked before the CSS change, doesnt work any longer. Ive installed nothing on this machine in fact its been off for the majority of two days.

Hmm.. my sleuth-like detective abilities pin it down to whats changed.. youve admitted to changing the CSS since I last visited here, and now its naffed.

In my opinion IE6 is a more stable affair than Firefox, I dislike firefox intensely, Everytime I have to use it I have to go into the damn options and turn off a million and one things that I dont need. Regardless of whats the better browser, I prefer IE. I will not be forced into using it because of a fixable problem, as such the usual "install firefox" crap that folks on here come out with has no place in this thread with regards to me.

Edit:

Just done a quick validation on it. Appears youve missed a #

http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tekforums.co.uk%2Ftemplates%2Fdefault%2Fstyles%2Fstyle.css&usermedium=all

IE behaves fecking wierd when a is missed so this small thing could be the fault (could not.. but it could be)

Edit Edit: Appears the w3c thing is borked.. unless it really doesnt recognise #000000 as a legit colour.
