Todhost have just told me they want more money. I dont want to give it to them.

I only need about 500 MB, up to 3 or 4gigs of monthly bandwidth, and php/mysql capabilities. Im sure I saw something to the tune of this for about Ã,£14/year a while back?

Actually just found these:

The gold package looks ideal. Any thoughts?

most people here use them for the price and TBH though ive had a couple of probs the service is definately value for money.
I have several sites with them, though they are unused i keep them anyhow

Sara

Done :) Will move over my site tonight...

Ive been using them for ages, rarely an uptime problem and crocket is always around and easy to get hold of if there are problems :)

aye same here, I have the gold one :) Great stuff. Any problems I hop onto IRC and yell at crocket :D

Sorts them pretty much straight away :) And their staff come on here to calm major worries sometimes :)

They are cheap, very cheap and offer good things with that money 250gb bandwidth a month for me :o

Also, i have asked a few questions and they have replied really niceley

Yup, another vote for ETGS (ok its too late to add my 2p as Sara has already gone with them)

I currently have platinum (i think?) hosting with them, and had 3GB webspace and 15GB/mo transfer.

but I have no domain. LOL oops.

errrr isnt that the point of hosting??

Well my domain expired a while ago....   nominet sent me a thing requesting Ã,£90

and I didnt bother....   went to my previous host who I registered it with, and they now own it and I cant remember my login details to get it back.  tried emailing them, but they wanted various info I dont have lol.

so when my hosting runs out, I wont bother re-newing.

I now use Googlepages for random file hosting - you get 100mb free and most of my uploads were photos, so I use flickr..   pro account, 2GB upload a month :) no real space limitation!  more than enough.. :D

Golden rule of webhosting. Buy and keep track of your domain yourself, its better in the long run.

Very highly recommended.  If youre able to pay slightly more for hosting then this is the way to go - 99.9% uptime, huge storage, 250 gig of bandwidth a month, tons of databases and theyll throw in a free .info domain if you want one.

Its a tiny bit more expensive than the budget hosting thrown around here but you really get what you pay for.
