Ã,£600 for that, love it.

Partly because its a super sexy hardtail, partly because i love the look and partly because its a Speccy and i always wanted a Speccy Stumpjumper.  8)

Same bike that the male member of the couple I patched a tube for last week rode. Its a 19# bike. Its all hype, no substance. Regular wheels are more durable and lighter, and the little "aero" touches on the frame are completely bogus. Mind, its made nice enough--but its 99% artwork, and 0% increased function over the last 100 years of road bike design. I overtake him several times per week, which leads to him trying to catch me in a friendly yet fruitless chase.

Im not dismissing the bike at all, you get what you pay for--in this case its crazy mad design, not necessarily function, but if that makes your rod turgid, meh, go for it.

Specializeds been one of those big companies thats been very important to cycling. I remember mounting up a set of Ground Controls on my rigid Trek Antelople back in  88 and being astounded at the grip.

Ha! me gots one of they bendy Thompson seatpins.

My old non-suspended Rockhopper (certainly not 19 hashes...) recently sent to the bike graveyard after my brother snapped one of the barends whilst out of the saddle; now surplus to requirements

I got the post over the internet (I posted about it here before the meltdown I think); the F1000 I brought back in a card box through the Green channel

Big specialized fan here.  My day to day ride:

So, you gonna buy the frame and build it up?  or just a pipe dream?

just got a brand new singlespeed 29" wheeled mountain bike - which is a phenominal piece of kit, so i cant really justify buying the S works, other than to build it up as a geared bike, but i dont really want a geared bike, hell im planning to race singlespeed soon! so i can but dream...
