well its coming into winter thick and fast, so would i be right in investing in

secondly would they fit on my bike. also i do have v-brakes.

Borken links.

Tires are the right shape for city whatnot. If theyre 26" theyll fit. You might need narrower tubes, though.

Those mudguards are totally bogus, your feet will get soaked. Either pop rivet some flaps to them (soda/milk bottles are great for this) or get some SKS full coverage ones. I dont remember the exact bits on your bike, so either model could be a PITA to mount.

He can wear wellies :mutley:

well i bought some generic mudflaps from my lrbs (local robbing bike shop) and they fit quite well for generic injection moulded soulless beauties! i can see what you mean about the flappy things max, but lets face it, i would rather have wet feet than horsesh*t thrown up my back on my morning ride

maximusotter

You need a custom flap to keep wetness from your bits is all Im sayin.

lol wet feet suck in spds.

Mine are still "dampish" after yesterdays downpour, left them behind the vent on my computer with newspaper in them. Still no good! :) lol

I needies overshoesies!

Motorcycle style plastic over trousers with elasticated trouser legs plus boots can be even better in wet weather. The boots need at least some flexibility in the ankles though.

dont want a rain cape. im not afraid of a little bit of rain.

and with my full mudguards I dont need flappy bits :)

But my feet were soaked from above, and from sidespray of cars. I want overshoes.

Serious, wearing waterproof trousers on a pushbike = torn waterproofs, and sweaty legs.

Serious

I know, but only if you go out for speed, if its wet you should be going slower. It also means your normal trousers are still dry when you get to where you are going. So far I havent holed mine, although I dont usually go out if its raining anymore.

Dont know what America has with rain capes and thin plastic overcoats TBH. I met one in a plastic coat once which 99.99% of British people wouldnt even think of wearing unless they were pennyless and this bloke is a multi-millionaire!

redneck

those rain capes look gay.

i went out in my normal overcoat and my knees were soaked :) my feet were dry :)

im thinking goretex waterproof trousies personally. i had a pair which stood up to 3 years of cadet abuse of rolling through bushes, crawling and shiz.

might buy another pair.
