You will almost never use the remote. Dont forget to buy the extended warranty unless you plan on cracking it open. I strongly advise against doing that.

Not really fussed about extended warrenty. The budget doesnt really stretch that far

When you phone up, its worth asking how long you have left on you warranty. Some people have been given 3-4 months left when calling about a launch console. They arent quite with it...

If you dont crack it open you could get it swapped.

If you do crack it open, you can pot tweak.

I think the main issue though, is that you have a Hitachi drive & naff media.

I think he is referring to DVD-R backups of his games. Less said about that the better.

Just Crack it Open. If/when it breaks - replace with a Core. 5 games easily off sets the price of a replacement.

Why? Surely there really isnt a problem any more as this forum isnt affiliated with any store/person? Theres no reputation to tarnish and no one to get in trouble legally :?

Plus its blatantly obvious the mods arent likely to practice what they preach in this case
