A lot of small companies in the US are now using this size for "country bikes", which is incredibly stupid, as its a rare size here. Its easy enough to build a 700c frame that can fit fatties and fenders, but...for converting 700c bikes to use such things that have tight clearances, its marvelous!

Looks very like my old racing bike, although that was made out of relatively heavy steel tube. Still went very well, except when the brakes got wet it wouldnt stop...

Its about the wheels folks, not the bike. Thats a high zoot racer, and with the addition 650B rims and some cheap long reach Tektro calipers, can now fit a proper tire and mudguard.

I wouldnt ride a Trek, save for a vintage one. :P

Nah, sh*tty customer service. Last bike I bought from them was in 90, a very nice 105 equipped bonded aluminum 1200. Those were great frames, if a bit whippy like the Vitus stuff. :lol:
