After having my Mobile go missing Im now trying to get hold of a replacement handset.  At the moment im stuck with a Nokia 6310.

Does anyone know, or know of a site where there is list of phones that are sold as being on a network, but are actually SIM free?  Im only on this contract for another 4 or 5 months so don;t want to go spending fortunes, and i do not want another K750i piece of junk.

Plenty of second hand shops should be able to sell you a cheapo.

Or there is always fleabay

all payg phones are now locked to a network.

Only hope you have is finding 2nd hand contract phones.

i won;t buy 2nd hand unless i know exactly who im buying from, buying a 2nd hand mobile is like buying a 2nd hand bike.  If you don;t know the person you are buying from, then there is a pretty good chance its nicked.

not all, Girlfriend just bough a Sagem thing from sainsburys, and that is SIM free, cant see them _all- being locked.  Im only looking at the bottom end anyway, less than Ã,£50 type of thing.

Sorted now, got a Motorola W220 in Black.  Dead basic, but a hell of a lot better than the 6310 i was using.  As much as i used to like Ericsson, i think they have seriously lost their way in relation to durability.  The K750i is the biggest piece of junk ive ever had the misfortune to use, and thats comeing from someone who had a Three Mobile within a month of them coming out.
