Quote from: Qui si Parla CampagnoloGee, a smidge over 1600 grams, uses unique to this wheel parts(try to
find a 7700 wheelset spoke) and ONLY $979...yikes, when will people
learn.

DT or DA 7800 hubs, Velocity Aerohead rims(OC front), 28f, 32r, Revs
front, 14/15 rear, BRASS nipps and 1550 grams and range from $650 tp
$750. BUT what did PT Barnum say???

But it does have scamdium and it does have wheelbags and it can use a
tubeless tire(great news!!, another answer to a not asked
question).......

So its stronger, lighter, more easily servicable, and er, cheaper to build traditionally? Duh. Notice the brass nipples.

BTW, I think Campy man means OC rear, which is "off center" drilling for strength when dishing. 14/15 is traditionally butted spokes, and "Rev" is the super light DT Revolution spoke. ;)

I suppose these things are for semi-pro and pro riders who just want a wheel and money isnt an issue, due to sponsorship etc.... for me and you its an obscene amount of money for a bit of kit, especially when my Gipiemmes (which everyone warned me away from!) have done a grand job for a year, for next to no money...

But theres nothing better about them compared to handbuilt kit is the point. Theyre harder to repair, weigh more, and cost twice as much. No point at all to them except to line the  pocketbooks of Shimano. Pro riders will ride them simply if theyre sponsored.

Ive seen exactly one set of these on the road. It was when I helped a stranded couple fix a flat. More money than sense. They cursed the bike as "with the money they payed" it shouldnt have gotten flats.

Even if bike shops dont want to hand build, and if you dont youre not a legit shop in my opinion, its easy to source prebuilt wheels like the bog standard Ultegra/DT/Openpro, that make far more sense for anybody.

Its bling, with bullsh*t behind it is all. Its not even fun bling like crazy rims for a car, as with a bike, theres a much greater chance of crap breaking.

Pointles engineering makes me want to vomit. :puke:
