Ive *JUST* finished the move away from etgs to another host. Now all I have to see about doing is seeing if I can get the money back for the next years worth of hosting, fat chance there I think but you can but try. Considering that they invoiced me for it 2 months in advance...

Quote from: adam0rHey guys. Quick update. The main server has died, and is currently being looked at as a matter of urgency. I hope to  hear from the engineers early tomorrow morning.

Edit: With regards to the email problems, server kept experiencing high load due to a bug with exim, which kept causing it to terminate. Should be sorted soon :o)

Im with etglobalsolution (my website is conceptex.co.uk), and have had some problems with them recently - i.e. my website would be up one day and down another, and it only receiving some of the emails...

But a couple of days ago my website and email completely went down, along with:
etglobalsolution.co.uk
etglobalsolution.com
kcart.co.uk
mindslap.co.uk
modded.me.uk
(They own these websites too)

And as some of you may already know... they NEVER answer their phone, even if we could get the number - which we cant - because their site is down.

This is ridiculous, our ordering system is hosted on our website along with our company website..... my head is going to explode.

Vent some frustration? I found this review site: http://www.webhostingstuff.com/review/ETGlobalSolution.html

Got an e-mail from them.

QuoteDear Customer,

We have experienced several technical problems over the last few days which left one of our main servers (server1) offline for several hours When back online pages were slow or timing out.

We have isolated the cause to the operating system which was running in 64bit mode along with other application issues.

We are currently bringing into place a new server of similar specification to replace server1 which will be online tomorrow ââ,¬â€œ there will be a seamless switchover as name server changes have already been done behind the scenes. All accounts which reside on this server will be moved by us automatically ââ,¬â€œ there is nothing you need to do.

We would like to apologise for the inconvenience that this outage will have caused to all our customers.  We are putting additional measures in place to ensure that should a similar situation arise we will be able to deal with it almost instantly, therefore reducing the outage time.

If you have any questions regarding this outage, or if you would like any further technical background on the problem or the new equipment and measures being put in place please do not hesitate to contact us via support@etglobalsolution.co.uk

Regards
