...To get a great car?

Im not talking about a car thats reliable, Im tlaking about a car that will put a smile on your face even at just the slightest thought?

Say it cost around Ã,£40k Would you remortagage? If you didnt have a mortgage what would you do? Save up and then buy a one?

Start a business? Get a better job?

Ive just been looking at: http://www.tvr-eng.co.uk/overview_sagaris.php

And I love it!

Especially this picture:

I certainly wouldnt mortgage for a car, and I probably wouldnt spend that much on one either.

I tend to be logical on my transport, if it gets me from A to B then thats all you need.

/hypocrisy

OK, I might, if I had lots of money available. I wouldnt just borrow myself into huge debt for one though...

and always take a test drive *before* you talk yourself into buying one, you might just hate it afterwards and it will all be your own fault ;)

So saving up you say.... hmm I can do that.

Binary Shadow

for me itd be this:

I dunno.. loan probably if i could get one, and id need a better job lol certainly wouldnt mess about with mortgages tho

PuNk

Id get a bit of debt for a car, as long as i lived near a cool track to thrash it, thatd make me very happy tbh.

ps. that TVR, is the first TVR ive seen that I gave a second look.

Supercars are great and good, but you dont need one to get a grin.

There are any number of used $5K cars, that with tuning, nice rubber, and some spit polish, will make any of us mortals grin--thats if we know how to use a clutch and shifter. ;)

Serious

The other question is would you be happy to thrash a car that cost you an arm and a leg? I have seen some peeps spend a lot on a souped up car and then drive it at ridiculously low speed cause they didnt want to damage it.

I would be much happier scooting around in an MX5 than a super car for that issue alone.

PuNk

nope, if I had a supercar, id have to drive it super fast.

Id love an arial atom. simply because its a cheap souped up go kart thatll rocket me dead fast.

Beaker

For 40k, taking into account that it has to be reliable too i would pick up a Boxter-S.  Great little car.

Pete

Id go for something that doesnt depreciate much, maybe even get a classic so Im not throwing money away.

Actually, Id get a newish porsche tbh.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

See I dont like Porsches that much, I like the image that TVR... Raw power, sounds more fun than "Sat nav and a Ã,£3000 stereo" or some rubbish some porsche dealer would offer me.

Binary Shadow

NO abs NO traction control NO chance itll run for more than a week at a time ;) lol classic. The TVR rep scares the hell out of me (forever breaking down and killing the drivers).

Pete

I like the TVRs, the Sag looks wicked in silver especially.

I wonder if life insurance prices go up when you buy a TVR
