Im at a loose end and I really could do with finding a show to replace these with. I dont watch that much TV but I do like to have something decent to watch for at least a couple of hours a week.

Im into Heroes but that is on a short break. I like BSG and My Name is Earl but they too have ended. I am watching Lost, 24, Supernatural and The Unit on Sky but I could really do with something stupidly sci-fi to watch until june when The 4400 returns.

Any suggestions ? Anything that youre watching you think might fit into my taste bracket ? Ive had a look on TV.com at "similar" shows to those I watch but with the exception of Day Break nothing jumped out...

That is the biggest problem out there, they canned Stargate and Atlantis aint doing that great and I doubt the next series will do well and then get canned as well.

NCIS is brilliant if you ask me and if you watched it you would get into it, It is much like CSI New york and a little more hard and gritty compared to the other CSI shows and I think has a better cast like CIS NY does.


Soutpark season 11 is going on right now and thats funny has hell but sci-fi wise there is bugger all

The Dresden files looks crap

Later in the year you have the new bionic series - god knows if that will even be close to decent.

Ill checkout NCIS, I did see a bit of one a while back and thought it might be worth a look but then promptly forgot all about it.

Southpark is ok but not something I go out of my way to watch.

I have a habit of not watching any TV for weeks and then finding that I have a few evenings in one week with nothing to do, so I watch back to back episodes of one show I watched Numb3rs (s1/s2) like that and really enjoyed it.

You should give The Dresden files a chance, its a sort of a poor mans x-files-meets-harry potter-meets-angel affair and Ive quite enjoyed them so far (SkyHD).

I am fortunate in that I waited for BSG to come onto Sky (for HD) so I do have that to watch atm. I am just fearing the sci-fi free summer nights when the pub is closed but its too hot to sleep :s

I think the BSG s4 renewal is a given, the ratings have been stable and the story is almost over. Id be surprised if they canned it now given the way that s3 apparently ends (I havent seen it yet).

Get some new specs neXus, neither of the links youve posted say that. The only thing that even gets close is Mark Stern saying "We need to sit with Ron [Moore] and David [Eick] to hear what their plans are for that [fifth] season, and what theyd like to do about any future seasons."

I think its becuase of the sudden withdrawal of sci-fi that caused me to start downloading random old sci-fi such as random seasons of star-trek and god help me Im addicted to Andromeda and thats bad!
