Suddenly the 360 we have in our house has stopped working. It isnt outputting any video to the TV, sound but no picture.

Its using the standard cable that came with the Xbox and an input on the TV that definitely works (tested it with an Xbox1). It worked 8 hours ago but when trying to turn it on today there is just no video.

Lights come on as usual and the sound is normal.

Ive tried reseating all cables and unplugging the xbox for a while. Anyone got an other ideas?

Theres a slider on the video cable.  Cant remember what it does but think it switches the tv mode between high def and non high def.

Any chance youve switched that so its in the wrong video mode?  That would leave the sound cables working but not the video ones...

LOL, it was!

Cheers SteveF, would have been a pretty rubbish reason to send it back to Microsoft. Had no idea about the slider.

Mucho mucho thanks!
