im selling 3 things on ebay at the mo

a bike, an old book and a PS2.

the book and bike have loads of watchers and views.

but the ps2 only has 1 watcher and not many views.

can you see anything I cocked up on the listing? or is it just because there are thousands of ps2s for sale?

i went to edit my listing bit but the starting big box is all faded out.

you cant because its the last day of bidding - you could have done yesterday.

The way to get best sell price on eBay is to get people to put on the red mist; the way to do this is to get loads of bids by putting it starting at 2p. Youll get a least a dozen bids by dreamers and then people who are more serious will bid, attracted by the interest (people are bidding so it must be worth having, right?) Then hopefully youll get a few people who get an emotional attachment to the item because theyve bid several times and they dont like to lose face
You can always put a reserve price if youre worried about it selling for less than you want.

I sold an electronic dartboard for 99p on that premise because some chancer came along and dropped in a bid last minute, grr. It was worth about £15

DEViANCE

Although a pain its a good thing :) find the cost, add a few pounds on top and they are none the wiser and you get a little petrol money for posting it etc.

Until they say it hasnt arrived, or it doesnt work, or they want to pay via Western Union...

But in that instance the market decided it wasnt. I could say that what I said above applies to things that people actually want to buy  If you want to sell something like the latest model of mobile phone you cant lose, for sure.

be careful with reserves on relatively cheap items though, in the film SLR section items with reserves almost never sell. This is because the minimum a reserve can be is £50, and since most of the items are worth that or less, the presence of a reserve means its not worth bidding.

Even on the better cameras which are actually worth £100+ its still unwise to put a reserve on, the dreamers and oppotunists wont bid if they know they arent going to get the "deal of a lifetime" they are after.

DEViANCE

yay! everything is going to sell. hopefully the bike gets a few more bids, but im well chuffed with the books price.
