Are there any stand alone media boxes capable of playing WMV-HD, MP4s and MKVs without going down the route of a HTPC?

Its something for the folks really.  Ive got the limited file support on my 360 (Hopefully addressed with next update) and the XBMC on the Xbox.

But they look Hard Drive less :-(

I quite liked the freecom MediaPlayer that I used to have but it didnt support MKV or WMV.
The other problem I have with those boxes is that the firmware is not always updated to support the latest codec revisions.
