For those that havent got in yet, you should sign up to Gamespot, make sure you sign into your account and then go to the US site to get your download code.

NOTE: You must sign into your account first and then visit the US site or itll revert to the UK site where you do not get a download code.

You dont need an email, it gives you the download code on the site. If you got given a short code that had to be input on cod4beta.co.uk, you were on the UK gamespot site and need to go to the US one where you can get a download code.

I have signed up 3 codes on cod4beta.co.uk, 2 last week, one yesterday, and havent got a thing from there yet. They dont seem to be sending any download codes out to UK players yet, which is why you go through the US site.

Just tried and it seems to revert to the UK site all the time now, which is why you got that code and not the download code. Think Gamespot may have realised that uk people were nicking the keys from the US site, but its not surprising seeing as UK keys were supposed to be emailed yesterday and still havent been yet.

The download code should be in this format - XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX and should be shown on the website, but only shows up on the US site not the UK one.

Try going to us.gamespot.com, scrolling down and the link is on the right. Youll have to hope it doesnt send you to the uk site though, so check the address bar.

You may end up having to use a proxy to trick it into thinking you are us based.

Same it diverts to UK where you register and wait for email containing code... well just hope for that

Played again last night - really enjoying it now. Maps are superb on the beta and the modes are quite cool. I love the fact theres now goals for me to reach (like killing 25 people with an ak47 etc...)

Definitely on my to buy list when its released.
