Ive been told mine wont be connected now until the 27th! Im ringing up tomorrow to whinge about it, as the site gave the option of 5 days time or as soon as possible. 8 days time is not as soon as possible when the other option was Monday morning, 5 days time

it took about a week for me.... which isnt bad as they had to enable the exchange or something because im the only person in the area using them !

(think i ordered it at yours on the sat night.... and i had it running for the next friday!)

I only get about 14000 kilobits on mine the distance to and how many connected to exchange must be less with yours.

If youre connecting at 19.5mbit straight off you probably can get 24mbit.

Just need to tweak your connection.

Mine was originally around the 17Mbit mark, and Ive tweaked it up to 22.5mbit.

Theres loads of people on the Be forums with 24mbit.

6.5 mb/s. Im just round the corner from the exchange as well; although I think the 20m extension cable coming from the phone socket to the router may have something to do with it.

Yes It should max 10 meters, put yer modem by the phonesocket and use a
20 meter networkcable instead.

How much up though ? I get 1.6 mbits/s

well the modem connects at 21mb

just the fastest downloading ive done so far is 19.5

was thinking about fiderling with it.... but itll do for me so far !

think I need a new/better router the free speedtouch one they send me has loads of features etc.... and works 100%... unless i want to change an option on it... in which case it crashes untill i reset it

its sh*te, quite possibly the worst speedtouch router ive used.  the old Speedtouch USB modems are good for what they are, Speedtouch routers are more hassle than they are worth.  I need to get a Netgear DG834GT, they are supposed to work pretty well.

Im not too fussed on the new router, it seems to take ages to connect and I dont seem to be able to access a lot of options that I used to have on the DG834. I sent a ticket in asking for all of the settings and they were happy to oblige so Im pulling it out later and replacing it with my old router to see if it improves things at all.
