Well i finally sold my Peugeot 307 sh*twagon about 3 weeks ago, been scouring high and low for a new motor but really having problems deciding on what to buy.

I decided to keep some of the money i have and put torwards other things that i needed/wanted for the house, so im left with £3k to spend on a new motor.

Im over 25 with 8 years ncb, so insurance isnt really an issue upto group 16 most cars cost around £250-400 fully comp, its just being the size of your average doorway limits me to what i can buy.

Ive spend the last 3 fridays + tommorow will be going back to the BCA auction in a bid to pickup something newer but at a bargain price.

However with the increase in fuel price again soon, and the fact its all carbon footprint this and that nowadays i find myself considering smaller engined motors or diesels in order to save a bit here and there, but in all honesty im doing around 1000-3000 miles a year so i dont see any of this affecting me really, thus why i thought why not push the boat out and go for a 2l to v6 and have a bit of fun.

I just cant decide.

What about a Mitsubishi FTO? can pick them up for under £3K

But why do you need a car for only 3K miles a year ? :/

Pete

FTO would be sweet.

Dont go Diesel. Everytime someone buys a Diesel Gordon Brown cracks one off.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Bartop

Wash your mouth out sir..all this stuff and nonsense about diesels, carbon footprints and the like !

Get yrself one of these...loads of car for the money..!

The only jap imports i would consider are those vehicles that were either produced here, or were originally sold here, thus i could keep parts and servicing prices down. :)

Bartop, yeh thats one vehicle i was checking out, i just think to myself at the auction i could just buy a newer shape v6 for around the same money.

Ill be honest, i keep going back to BMW 323i, which is one ive considered several times. :D

And being really honest i did 1500 miles in the last 2 years, but its all down the car which i hated, previous to that i was doing upto 3k a year in my A4 T Sport, but hell that was one fun car to drive, it was a drivers car, the feel of the road :)
