Title: Holiday Snaps
Post by: Binary Shadow on March 28, 2008, 17:17:31 PM
Just uploading some to flickr

Back from Coombe Martin in North Devon, took nearly 500 photos with the 350D, also caught the front of the lens on a gate, learnt to use the lens cap more, looks like i got away with it this time.

Also i only have the kit lens and it looks like i could do with more length, usually zoomed right in most of the time and wanting more, can someone recommend a lens to compliment the kit lens (EF-S 18-55mm) with more focal length?, dont need to go crazy, is it worth getting something with image stabilisation?

Cheers

Will link to the flickr set once its all uploaded.

So you actually managed to pick up a bird then? ;) :D

They had some birds of prey at Royal Quays last year, might be doing the same this too.

Cant comment directly on the Canon offerings, but stabilisation at the long end is the best thing since sliced bread. Since I got my K10D (has image stabilisation built into the body), 300mm at 1/60th is a doddle, and even slower than that is ok with static subjects and good technique.
