Kinda wish I could get more distortion.
Suprised there isn't more distortion on them, exif says they were taken with a 10mm and thats usually enough to produce some. Which lens was it taken with?
Maybe its just the composition, if the car was a bit bigger in the frame it might be more noticable.
I was asked to source a fisheye for the Nikons at Uni. 10.5mm gives a 180 degrees field of view :o
Tbh I like the way those images look, not too keen on uber distortion myself...
I agree, there's definitely some perspective bending there but just enough, the full blown fisheye effect is done to death, you might as well photoshop to that effect IMO.
I'd imagine if you get closer the distortion would be more apparent.. also I assume you are using a crop sensor, which willl mean you wont actually be getting the proper 10mm, good for zoom, not so good for the wise stuff. I'm using a crop with a 10mm and find that you have to be right up close to give the more distored effect..
Using the tamron 10-24, yeah the crop sensor cuts into it a bit. I'll try getting a bit closer next time, cant believe how much you can get in the frame :muttley:
I'm on the same lens, you can practically have the lens right in someones face and still get their body in!
When I was sourcing the one for uni the reviews all said about either being careful not to get too close and scratch the glass (or kill yourself depending on the subject) or that they kept getting their feet in ><
I've got a Sigma 10-20 (which has been shockingly under used recently!) but after seeing a photo Mr T did on flickr I've been keeping my eye out for a Samyang 8mm, seems to get some decent reviews and isn't that 'fish eyey', not too expensive either maybe about the £200 mark.
