Title: Mosaic Madness! :D
Post by: M3ta7h3ad on May 13, 2006, 00:50:49 AM
Just been playing about with some photos of my rifle club with centarsia when the chairman of the club and me mate mentioned making a mosaic with all of the rifle photos for the years he was chairman with him and his new rifle.

So... taking the master photo of:

And about 1000 other photos of rifle club activities and socials.

I ended up with...

The above image is a scaled down version as the full version is 11MB in size, and has a width of over 3200. :) But in the full version you can clearly see the content of the actual photos that make up the image :)

Rather cool stuffs! :D

ahhh hours and hours of copying and pasting and layering the images in in photoshop :D lol

Rofl... no :D

20 or so minutes using this program: http://www.alhena-design.com/centarsia

takes ages to process images into the queue, but once done the mosaic takes about 10minutes to make :)

Thats cool, what size tiles did you use so they were still clear in the final piccie? Mine are small and blurred.

Hit the zoom button in XP to pull it out.

Use larger sized tiles (100x100) and itll have to be printed on a paper size larger than A4 to see the full picture.
