Quite like it, Im amazed to learn she only used an R1 and used only basic Photoshop and RAW developing techniques (well, inferred by her blog).

I wouldnt call the ideas totally original (Self Portraiture anyway), but shes made it work well.

Problem is you have so much creative work already out there that its very hard to find anything that is truly innovative.

nice pics + she looks alright too

nothing massivly original in there but I reckon she has got a lot of exposure because she is fairly good looking and female & has marketed herself well

Well, she does say she did get the ideas from others.  To be fair, its a lot better than the typical "OMG MY TW1N!" stuff you see and turn something thats done for a laugh into something artistic.  As well as self portraits go its as much with the environment and touch ups that have seperated her from the usual bunch.

But yes, being easy on the eyes does help a lot!

First one I saw was this--->

A reasonably impressive photoshop but nothing entirely new. The thing being that it was taken in the bath - meaning she put quite a bit of work into getting it just right.

Sure she has the advantage of a reasonably good looking model, and doubly advantaged in that its herself, but I know of plenty of photographs where the model should look good but the photo doesnt show them off in the best light. The difference is where talent comes in. Ive taken photos myself and been downright angry at the result, not because of the subject, or the equipment I was using but because I hadnt given it 100%.

A good photographer can make a pigs ear look like a supermodel, a duff one is more likely to make a supermodel look like a pigs ear.

If shes going to produce stuff of that quality then perhaps she should spend more time in the bath? :)

[edit]On second thoughts if Eagle had taken it with himself as the model it might not have been quite so impressive  [/edit]
