Onwards and upwards three lions shall go...

I am looking forward to it. I look forward to every match we play. Win or lose, it wont matter... We made it into the FINAL 16 IN THE WORLD! Not bad considering how close we were to going out after two shoddy performances.

If the team keeps in good spirits and Capello makes the right choices, I think Germany will be surprised when we beat them.. Especially if we beat them in penalties.. Thats my prediction by the way   8-)

Shouldnt get carried away, we only beat slovinia and stuggled through the easiest group in the competition.
There was some nice play and movement in the game yesterday though but still alot of nerves.

The germans play well but that are beatable and it looked to me that Schweinsteiger and Ozil picked up slight injuries at the end of their game yesterday.

Theres less chance of England winning than there is me getting the PHD tomorrow. And when youve pretty much been told by the boss not to get your hopes up, thats a slim chance indeed.

Couldnt have looked more stupid if you tried really.

Yes England are not favorites but in football anything can happen. England played very well against Slovenia and Germany played terrible against Serbia. Plus Klose is out I believe.

Its not hard for me to look stupid.

Anything can happen in football, but at the same time our team isnt the best, and hasnt been for a long time, hence why I find it delusional to expect England to win. As to the PHD thing, thats to do with the lack of a masters and the unis unwritten policies of not taking people on PHDs without masters.

Wow, did you actually watch the game?  The ref robbed them of that game - even the commentators said they felt sorry for the Germans...

that Ozil is an ugly bugger isnt he. But what he lacks in looks, he more than makes up in flair and creativity. The germans rate him really highly, their new number 10.

Their game against Ghana was good, their attacks looked pretty nice, lots of nice passing interchanges and whatnot

Also the game against Serbia was pretty shocking too, the Klose sending off was a joke

Another thing is that while im not scared about losing the germany game, im not sure well win it either. I think its evens on whether we win or not. Either way itll be a good game.

Chances of PHD tomorrow == 0.
Chances of England winning on Sunday are less than 0 then ?

Thats my only point. Silly math.

England chances = 40% IMHO.

I wasnt referring to Sunday, I was referring to the World cup finals. Its delusional to think well win the whole shebang imo. Apologies for not specifying between Sundays game and the world cup, the thread is about Sundays game I guess!
