Waiting for mine to arrive. Ordered with Amazon and it is being delivered by Royal Fail. I hope it arrives!

I wont be able to play till after 7pm tonight, but if anyone wants to pwn some PS3 noobs, my PSN is dustipher. That is of course if some Royal Fail employee isnt playing my copy of the game already.

Really dont know whether to buy this, i keep saying i wont buy them but looking at all the reviews it seems rather tempting

I wont put my token generic FPS but can someone in a nutshell highlight whats so good about this, what it brings to the table other FPS games have not? serious question.

To quote a review:

"The multiplayer component is, as you would expect from this series, skilfully constructed and breathtakingly expansive. There are 14 maps, designed to explore and support a range of playing styles. The standouts, at least in terms of visual style, are "Jungle", with its winding paths, tree houses and hanging vines, and the brilliant, "Nuketown", designed to resemble one of those simulated neighbourhoods constructed in remote locations by the US military to test the effects of nuclear weapons. There are eerily authentic fifties houses and vehicles, and the streets are lined with spooky shop window dummies. The level was apparently inspired by the nuclear explosion scene in Indiana Jones 4 – though it also feels a lot like the scary test zone featured in Alexandre Ajas Hills Have Eyes remake.
  Elsewhere, there are military industrial complexes such as "Launch" and "Radiation", and dense urban settings such as "Villa" and "Havana". Add in some interesting new equipment like the camera spike (which lets you plant a spy cam anywhere on the map so enemies cant sneak up on you), decoy bomb and motion detector and you get a game thats really exploring the strategic depth of the multiplayer experience."

The game seems to have taken COD:MW2s faults and turned them into strengths. If this truely is better than MW2, then that is one hell of an acheivement. I shall wait till I have played it myself before passing judgement.

Aye. Ive not bought any of the last series of CoD/MoH type games on the basis of preferring just playing single player, the drive to multiplayer just makes me feel cheated out of what used to be lengthy and involved single player campaigns. What used to be epic sagas are now more like a webisode, if that makes sense.

makes total sense.

but i work the wother way and i have to say im impressed.

buying gun upgrades and perks is clever, but the killstreak thats a radio controlled car is genius.
i play multiplayes cos its a proper laugh. i just cant wait til she goes to bed now.

I am playing through the campaign now and it is awesome, great story. dont know how long it will last though.

Black Ops is sitting next to me unopened but Im looking forward to it.  Not the MP though - the last one didnt work for me - couldnt even get online - but even if i could, the bunny-hoppers and aimbots just kill MP every time. :(

And if Black Ops is Epic in scale, Im quite sure Fallout New Vegas is...

It is, but I get the feeling Im now mopping up the side quests before finishing the main story after what seems like maybe 1/3 of the time it took to get this far in FO3
