I set the difficulty to medium, and it actually felt like hard mode to begin with, I died very quickly numerous times on the first groups of enemies
Same here but you get used to the combat system pretty quick.  Trick is to get the reticle 'on' before you pop-up.

I'm finding that getting into cover is almost essential for combat - it's no 'run and gun', this one.

I find the stealth cover and other controls a bit clunky and its rather annoying that when you crouch you have to press the same key again to uncrouch - basically its just going to take me some getting used to as I'm not a 'stealth' person.
You can change the behaviour in settings to 'hold button' rather than toggle. :)

I'm progressing much faster just by shooting seven shades out of everyone now :yarr:
Me too.  Killing is very satisfying in this game.  I'm doing most with the 10mm pistol.  BOOOOOM Headshot!!!!

The more I play this, the more I remember of the original - still one of the best games ever, IMO. :)[/font]

Cheers, I'll look at changing the crouch toggle setting. You simply have to use cover to get anywhere, sometimes it definitely feels a bit clunky and I've had times where i've gone to do a dive and he's turned a corner so to speak, landing me in the sh*t! :worried: Overall it works very well though and it's pretty satisfying when you combo a cool takedown with some John Woo inspired shooting-action shenanigans.

Just encountered the first boss... 12 attempts... have given up!   :worried:

Until tomorrow.

Most unlike me!  :disappointed:

I completed this last night on hard mode, a bit too easy to be honest, I finished the game with a ridiculous surplus of weapons and ammo! oh well  :)

In the final 'scene' I had no idea whatsoever of what I was supposed to be doing.  I just pressed and/or shot everything I saw.   :disappointed:

The last bits are a bit of a letdown really, it's actually trickier putting the game disc back in the box

I haven't had time to get that far in yet, but every vid I've seen of the boss fights makes them look really hard. Maybe they were playing on hard mode though.

I generally start a game on normal to get to grips then do hard mode (I used to jump straight to hard mode and some games are insane from the off like it). I think you're perhaps some sort of god at this then! To be honest I haven't played it enough, but even on normal I found the controls letting me down and trying to be stealthy, perhaps it gets much easier as you go along and get augmented, etc.

Missing Link DLC out today, promising at least 5 hours extra gameplay and the reviews are pretty good... high price @ £8.99 but I'm bored so have purchased it :P

Ouch.  Bit pricey for a game section that was cut from the original...

Just completed it and it is very good, longer than some full games as well.

Only gripe is that I decided to get the "use no praxis kits, weapons or explosions' achive out of the way but it didn't give it to me :(
