A full time permanent job, not some crappy short term contract limiting me to a few months employment at a time.

If thats too much to ask, a girlfriend.

Still too much? Pair of socks I guess.

It looks like at least one of the above is coming my way so Im pretty happy right now :)

Ive spent all my life single, so Ive now met someone intelligent, talented, funny, interesting, successful and attractive who for some strange reason also likes me, and Ive never been happier. Sure its early early days but I dont care, Ive never smiled so much :)

I spent Friday night at hers ;)

But before anyone gets the wrong idea, I slept on the floor... I was offered the bed but Im too much of a numpty to just jump right in...

...yet somehow during the course of the night we were just so relaxed and easy going, shared so much stuff, even though nothing happened and she knows why that is, shes happy about that and were going out to a gig next Sunday. I think part of the reason this is looking to be a good relationship is shes been hurt too much in the past and knows that Im a nice guy...so not jumping right in to bed probably worked out for the best in more ways than one.

So yeah, things are looking good :)

go get your balls wet... The more time you spend with her & not even have a fumble, the more difficult it will get.
There isnt a right moment, only the opportunity of there being a right moment... if you dont act on that opportunity, then
the moment will pass. Alcohol may help btw... but not to much!!!

zpyder is here pouring out his heart and you cant even admit what you want for Christmas? Come on, share

Congratulations too zpyder, thats great news (I was tempted to make the sock joke as well!). Egg does have a point actually, if youre offered a bed its gentlemanly to say no, but dont feel obliged if she offers again as shes making the opportunity for you!  -)

Ah not to worry folks. There will be fumbling in the future...as it was/is, part of the night was spent sharing a lot of personal stuff, including my slight...phobia (it probably isnt a phobia, more of a hangup), of being touched. Yes, I am that much of a nutjob. I dont know where it came from, but probably somewhere along the lines Ive gotten that used to being "unloved" that even people patting me on the back etc slightly freaks me out...she knows this now and isnt put off so well be taking things slowly but surely.

...Oh god...this is turning into one of those classic zpyder help threads isnt it?

Lots of people are like that about being touched. Its a trust thing... I hate people touching me. I dont like shaking hands, I dont like
it when people invade my personal space. At least people I dont know.

and no, its not turning into one of them threads.
