no no. My only issue was with Egg complaining about people not calling it a Christmas tree and, in his normal xenophobic way, suggested they should go back to their own countries when the idea of a Christmas tree never came from a Christian idea in the first place.

Personally, I think Christmas is now international time of consumerism and/or time of happiness and family (both are good)

As long as people enjoy themselves and life in peace and harmony with their fellow man for at least a couple of days, who cares what belief system they ascribe to.

Everyone enjoys christmas & the time of year.. why cant every f**king religion just get together & just invent a holiday at around the same time of year? Pagans, Jews, hebrews, whatever god you sheep want to follow..

For most, Christmas is the only time people can be bothered to go bother with those they are related to... myslef included - I dont really bother with my family.... Friends are more important to me than family. My friends are hand selected by choice. My family was kind of forced upon me  :P

At the end of the day, its just a word. Why we should bend over backwards just because people are offended by the word is f**ked up. Dont like the term Christmas? then dont celebrate it. Christians dont get offended by the chinese celebrating their new year, or whatever religion celebrates Pass Over, etc.

I agree with that, why change the name just to be PC ? Only reason I can think of is that the stores think they might get more non christian customers.

Kind of ironic that you argue people should be able to call it what they want, but then moan if they dont it Christmas.

I dont agree with the reasons for changing it.

I bet those who are "offended" by the word Christmas, still celebrate it though.

OK it was Egg being a moron, but you said He was taking the piss.

Actually why are we arguing about this as I call it the winter festival too and Im definitely Christian? Winterfest is just a shortening of this.

Christmas is the Mass of Christ shortened, and only applies to either the night of Christmas eve or the morning of Christmas day. Even then you have to attend mass, IE GO TO CHURCH! :p

When I was at tescos I found Muslims to be the worst for it, Millions of "religious" Holidays through the year, and still expected time off at our holiday too.  F-O.
