And you never speed?

It tickles me when people are so incredulous that you can actually get from A to B without speeding.

knighty

it depends on how much speed you're talking about tho....

anyone who never speeds, ever, even a little bit... is a bad driver imo because they spend too much time looking at the speedo and not enough time looking at the road

the only time I pay attention to the speedo is when there's a cop car around or a speed camera

you don't need to look at a speedo to know if you're going too fast... you look at the road for that

Was I saying it was impossible?  I don't believe that you've never done it.

I don't really think speed matters here unless he was going an insane speed for the road. If he was doing 70mph in one of the stupid US 50 zones then its hardly endangering lives is it.

TBH I'm not the sort of person to pretend to be goody two shoes, if I had that sort of car you'd never see me on the motorway doing < 80mph... but doing that sort of speed is not dangerous if conditions allow for it.

Actually I don't have a driving license.  ;)

I hope most people here stick to the limit in 30 and 40 zones in built up areas, but perhaps not so much on national speed limit roads

If a copper asks 'I was doing a speed appropriate for the conditions ;D' he'll still probs chuck points at you mind

Ryan Dunn wise, it's quite damning that twitter photo though I don't care either way tbh, he's dead and already been cremated.

Always remember, nobody gave a sh*t when people close to you or me died.

Perhaps, that's still unconfirmed though and we don't really know the cause yet. Cars don't just spontaneously combust without some sort of problem, it would have to be a pretty horrendous crash otherwise. All I'm saying is I'd rather give him the benefit of the doubt until the real statements are in rather than write him off as a knobber just because he was on Jackass.

Got to wait for the facts, but for car to be in that mess it would have been doing some speed, and what he was doing prior to the crash as more people who were there talk seems pretty clear he was drinking and possible more. While no official word on if he was drunk or not, it will all add up to the cause.
From watching crash inspector programs and things like CSI they are good to highlight that it is never one thing.
Drink, drugs, speed, maybe worn tires.... There will be several factors as the true cause.

Wise words!

I've been stopped doing over the ton on an overtake and I was very thankfully let off by Mr plod because it was obvious that I was wisely paying more attention to the road than my speedo. Not that I'm advocating anyone drive over 100mph of course! I won't risk it these days, I wouldn't get let off again for sure.

As for Ryan Dunn, I don't really care either way either, I just dislike seeing threads turn Daily Mail with unsubstantiated claims.

What a complete Muppet tbh...

Some guy goes to a bar and drinks a few pints and shots, then when under the influence of alcohol, drives a supercar (which he obviously couldn't control) along a public road at 100mph without a second thought for other road users and ends up killing himself and his passenger. Now people are saying RIP because he previously appeared in some funny videos doing pranks/stunts etc...

I guess I'm probably in a minority here but I'm not really one for feeling much sympathy for a douche bag just because they happened to be famous/popular/a celebrity.

I couldn't agree more Dave. The only tragedy is that through his own knob-headedness he's caused a great deal of trauma and upset for friends and family.
