Had it installed for a while, just noticed on my Laptop I can now see the whole 4GB of RAM in vista 32 bit.

I still cant believe this laptop runs crysis, with settings set high

Jumpsy $$$

Must be a good laptop, right?

They sped up copying in vista finally, problem is it breaks a fair few things people are saying

Mark

everything still works for me, except one thing (my ecu software) has started working.

Where can you download that? Ive been meaning to test it.

Sam

why would you want to test it? Vista works as it is, let other people break their computers with beta service packs and then install it once its ready

So your fine with the slowest file copying known to man? kk   to name but one problem
You will see xp life extended to 09 and windows 7 in 09 very much confirming vista as me2

Seems fine for me. Not that I regularly move about 20000 gig files.

I searched for it on microsoft.com/downloads

It was a link under the what others are downloading section

I turned off remote diff comparison and it sped up file transfer.

In fact, I would go so far as to say Vista is working better than XP for me - but this laptop is 5,000,000 times faster than my old one.

You cant really judge in that regard then, if your a xp pro x64 person you cant beat it on speed, vista cant
The fact that leaked stuff about windows 7 shows most of the features in vista are gone for more xp like stuff with modern improvements and a complete re-do of the ui due to the fact they changed the team who are doing it and it being more streamlined with planned stuff scraped for me shows they also know vista is crap
The team that did the new office interface are on the new windows, While it takes a while to get used to it is actually good that interface

vista64ult is faster than xp64 for me :p

vista 64 is terrable, already known for less support then x64 and also actually slower then the 32bit vista. vista 32 is better to go for if your on 64 bit ^^
