It wasnt very clear from my first post, around 2k, but Id stretch to more for something good.

Youll defo need a diesel if you want to see any significant difference... Id personally go for the Mondeo ST TDCI, can be had for 8-9k.... will probably come down more once the new shape mondeo st is released.
