Tis what I thought too!

Having now driven the car for a bit back from Sheffield, I have to say its only noisy when Mr Turbo kicks in :yarr:

Very smooth, very relaxing drive. Its the first car Ive had that doesnt make me feel like I want to floor it everywhere. Nice and comfortable and seems to be a good car so far!

The only thing I would say is that I noticed a few times when the turbo didnt seem to kick in or seemed underpowered, but that might have just been me or how I was driving, Im not sure since its my first diesel car. On the whole though very happy. I just need to drop in a CD player now. Is it worth getting an official Audi one off ebay?

Itll feel like a brand new car with a new MAF sensor.

Look for the Audi Concert or Symphony on ebay they are on there all the time.

Clock'd 0Ne

So you think its worth switching the MAF sensor anyway?

Oh and which is better, the Concert or Symphony HUs? Cheers Devi

DEViANCE

Symphony is double DIN and thats what is in mine, its the best OE head unit Ive ever had.

Concert is just single DIN and the basic one I think.

So symphony if your dash will take it easy enough.

here is mine:

Flat spots before the turbo kicks in is almost always the MAF sensor.

I just looked on Eurocarparts and its £51 when you give them your old one.

made a huge difference on mine.

Cypher

Oh you can so easily drive them smoothly, but it is just as satisfying to put your foot down at times.

The torque in these engines is rediculous.  Try it up an incline.

Clock'd 0Ne

I might sort out the MAF soon then.

Mine isnt as speccd as yours:

Looks like single DIN only, so concert. Mine should take any single DIN like the newer 2006 HUs Im guessing.

Jaimz

Should take any single DIN headunit with the right adapter, assuming it is ISO from the car end of things...

I asked a seller if my car would take this and all he replied was "no".

How helpful! Surely it should just plug straight in, there cant be much difference.

Mark

If youre spending over £100 - dont get a manufacturers HU !

knighty

dont want to sound like a twat, but if you havnt friven any diesels or turbo diesels before it might justtake a bit of getting used to.... knowing when to drop a gear, or when to hold one so you can shoot out the other side of a corner etc...

Ill see how it goes on my long driving over the weekend, Ive only been out for about an hour in it. Ill play around on my long trip down south this Friday :)

Im thinking Ill just go to Halfrauds and get this fitted tomorrow, once Ive sussed if I have a BOSE speaker setup in the car or not.

Jaimz

Good shout with Pioneer, decent output and plenty of settings to tweak it to your liking.
