People who drive at less than 54mph on a clear motorway should be banned unless they have extenuating circumstances.

People who cant drive anywhere close to the speed limit on normal roads when its clear should be banned.

People who sit behind a lorry for ages, despite the right-hand lane being clear, then move out just as youre about to fly past at 70mph should be banned.

Cyclists should be banned from the road, at least until they start buying proper lights and have insurance and road tax.

People who dont know that they need to give the car more or less gas when going from a flat road to a hilly road in order to maintain a constant speed need to be banned.

People who start breaking 5 miles away from the junction/traffic lights need to be banned.

People who leave a 5 mile gap between themselves and a car in front when their queueing need to be banned.

People who sit in the fast lane doing exactly the same speed as the cars in the slow lane need to be banned.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

I agree with all these things :ptu:

Also lets ban those that sit in the middle lane at 60-70mph, then move into the outside lane to cut you up because they see you are approaching and then overtake at no faster than 70mph.

Eggtastico

women should be banned.....

they think they drive a bendy bus thats towing another bendy bus

Nonsense. If you start slowing down early there is much better chance that the lights will have changed when you get to them meaning you dont have to stop which reduces fuel consumption, wear and tear and, most importantly *actually keeps traffic flowing* much better than everyone rushing up to the lights and braking at the last second.

If theyre in the rightmost overtaking lane and *actually overtaking people* then you have zero right to complain about them doing it at 70. It is not the responsibility of other people to facilitate your breaking of the law.

If they are sitting in the outside lane and not overtaking, then they are in the wrong and should move back to the left lane.

It's all fun and games until a 200' robot dinosaur shows up and trashes Neo-Tokyo... Again.

No.
I mean people who drive like newbies up to a roundabout or something, not just traffic lights.

DEViANCE

there are a lot of bad drivers about, slow, indecisive driving seems to be more dangerous than fast driving.

on a side note the roads themselves are an absolute disgrace at the moment.

Quixoticish

And and for each slow, indecisive driver there is an overly aggressive cock who sits three inches from your backside, brakes far too late, then finally overtakes you five minutes from home and slows right down just to piss you off.

Not that Im defending the indecisive knobs out there, but theres a happy middle ground between driving like a complete tool who thinks they own the road and bimbling along stupidly slowly in complete ignorance of everyone else.

There should be some form of psychological evaluation as part of the driving test.

NO, DONT BAN THE BOOBIES! Theyre so nice to look at...

Agree.

Agree. Also making it mandatory to take road safety or something. Today I had some complete cock end nearly go over his handlebars as he started to cycle across the end of a junction without looking, which I was just about to reach. Thankfully I was slowing down but if Id have knocked him hed have been into the main road. The cock-end didnt stop being a complete and utter tit there though, proceeding to cycle down the main road off the curb into the oncoming traffic whilst waiting for a gap to cut across it. It truly was one of those moments where I wish Id hit my horn and not let go of it, but the moment passed all too quickly.

QuotePeople who dont know that they need to give the car more or less gas when going from a flat road to a hilly road in order to maintain a constant speed need to be banned.
Agreed.

QuotePeople who start breaking 5 miles away from the junction/traffic lights need to be banned.
It is more fuel efficient and saves some wear and tear, I never needed new brake pads in 7 years of having my micra :| But like most things there is taking it to the extreme.

QuotePeople who leave a 5 mile gap between themselves and a car in front when their queueing need to be banned.
Depends on the circumstances. When theres a long single lane road and you can see that 300m up the road there are several more cars, it makes no difference if youre matching their speed 10m behind them or 30m behind them or 100m behind them. I leave a big gap as again saves on the fuel and brakes. People that want to overtake can as theres a big gap there for them, but theyll be sat behind another car within 5s anyway so why bother :P

QuotePeople who sit in the fast lane doing exactly the same speed as the cars in the slow lane need to be banned.

Agreed.

Id also add "people who generally think road signs and the highway code apply to everyone but themselves" to the list.

For once there was some karma the other week. Approaching the same junction as the ass-wipe of the cyclist mentioned above, I saw a van positioned as if to turn right. "Hang on, its a no right turn" I thought to myself. Promptly followed by "He cant be thinking about it...theres a police car behind him!?" (There was as well, tucked in to the left in the position youd expect to be in for turning left....)

Sure enough as I get closer, the van pulls out to the right. The policecar sits there for a second before starting to pull away to the left, and then swings round to the right and whacks the lights on, almost as if it took a second for it to sink in that the van driver had ignored them being sat right behind him! So there is some justice in the world. Now all I want is to see some of the over aggressive cocks lose it on a corner, totalling their car whilst harming no one but themselves and causing no obstruction to the rest of the traffic. Id of course pull over and offer assistance until the police arrived and then give as damning a statement as I possibly could over how reckless they were. One day...

Sorry, I should have clarified a bit more as I have no problem with them doing the speed limit. My problem is when they are overtaking at a rate about 1mph faster than the middle lane traffic and holding up queues of Audi and BMW drivers such as myself that have no qualms about doing the more realistic 80mph. :P If theyd kept their nose in for 5 more seconds and let me past, then spent ten minutes on their overtake Id be cool with that. Its more an issue with being aware of other road users and allowing them to make progress.

XEntity

Agreed on all of the above... The one thing that really pisses me off are the drivers on the motorway who over take you, then drive slower than you when they pull in to your lane.

If I set the cruse on the motor way, I only expect to have to over take people, not have to overtake the person that has just overtaken me! Otherwise they just shouldnt have bothered!

zpyder

The number of people that would do that, or just have a magnetic bumper, has dropped by at least 50% since I swapped the Micra for the Mazda 3 :)

Serious

Yep obviously you should be banned. Or at least caught more often.

Some people should chill out rather than just ranting about how others are being tits when they dont realise they are an even bigger one.

Clock'd 0Ne

The police dont give a flying about you doing 80mph, we all know this as most cars in the outside lane are doing more than 70mph; Ive done 80+mph past police cars on the motorway plenty enough times to know this as fact. Im not going to pretend to be some hypocrite goody-two-shoes that rigidly sticks to the speed limit on the motorway, half of the high and mighty have all done it. Anyone that seriously has never once gone over 70mph on the motorway... well Id hate to live in such awful fear tbh :drama:

Keyboard warriors do your worst, my front wings are like a shield of steel.

Rivkid

I do tend to stick to speed limits more than most I guess but even so I still stick it up to 80mph for the outside lane - venturing in at 70 isnt fair - you just end up with a Trulli train. It annoys me when people overtake others at 1mph. Regardless of what speed they are doing or how close to the speed limit it is, if they only pass at that kind of speed then they might as well have just stayed behind. Theres no gain in that kind of move.

Career, Wife, Mortgage... my sig was better when it listed guitars and PC's and stuff!
