How do I find out the balance - will a cash machine tell me?

possibly might get a mini statement or somthing.

I can see the balance of mine online, you might be able to set that up.

I can phone my card customer help and they have an automated reply service on one of the options that reads out the balance and the last 10 transactions.
You have to answer some number based security qs to get that far so you have to register for the service (I dont even remember doing this!).
